Call for Papers 11th International Pragmatics Conference, speclal theme: Diversity, context, and structure

The website of the International Pragmatics Association (IprA) is now available for submitting abstracts for the 11th International Pragmatics Conference to be held in Melbourne, Australia, 12-17 July 2009.

Note in particular that if you are planning to submit a panel proposal, you are advised to do so by 15 June 2008. Panel proposals (on any topic relevant to a broadly conceived field of linguistic pragmatics) received by that date, will be evaluated by the end of June, so that proposals can be amended in response to committee members' comments for re-evaluation after the definitive 1 September 2008 deadline (in case the proposal is not already accepted in June). For abstracts for individual lectures, posters, and panel contributions, the deadline is 15 October 2008.
