Plurilingualism, identity(ies) and social practices. Sociolinguistic views

This one-day workshop brings together Swiss and European researchers from different research traditions, whose approaches all present strong linguistic and ethnographic dimensions that draw on empirical data.

In particular, the contributors will analyse the notion of identity and its interaction with bi- and plurilingualism in different social settings such as migration, schooling or work places.

The workshop will also present an opportunity to explore methods of data collection and analysis and will nurture discussion on how the theoretical frameworks and the different approaches presented can be reconciled.
