Call for Papers for a Special Issue on Reading during Writing

What does eyetracking research tell us about the interaction between reading and writing processes during text production? Special issue guest editors: Luuk Van Waes, Mariëlle Leijten & Asa Wengelin

 

This special issue will examine but will not be limited to the following themes:

 

1. the reading and writing behaviour of writers composing different genres and types of texts (informative, argumentative or persuasive)

2. the reading and writing behaviour of keyboard writers (keyboard and monitor gazers)

3. the process of reading and writing when composing from sources

4. the sentence composing and error detection during text revision or proof reading

5. the process of reading while completing specific writing tasks (completing forms, answering test questions, etc.)

6. developmental aspects of reading behaviour in text production (novice and professional writers)
