AILA Review is the official scholarly journal of AILA, the International Association of Applied Linguistics. It publishes pioneering and state-of-the-art research of the applied linguistics community and has always been an excellent publication platform for peer-reviewed contributions addressing cutting-edge research and issues in Applied Linguistics.
The first issue of AILA Review appeared in 1984. Up to Volume 15, the journal was published by AILA itself. From Volume 16 onwards, AILA Review is published by John Benjamins. We are now a well-respected Scopus-indexed journal with two issues a year, a themed issue and a truly open issue.
